Oracle Academy Global Data Modeling Competition

The 2009 competition concluded on January 9. Stratford's 2009 Oracle Database Team (Tony Kemble (team captain), Ryan Houseman, Adrienne Hughes, and Nancy Long) was selected from six teams competing to represent Stratford. Their data model was evaluated by an international team of judges along with data models submitted from more than 100 teams from around the world. See winners announcement above.

The 2008 competition was the first year Stratford participated (it was the first year the Oracle Academy was offered at Stratford). For the second year in a row, instructor Livia Toca's classes at National College of Computer Science TUDOR VIANU in Bucharest, Romania, produced the winning team. Stratford's 2008 team (Ethan Frances, Willis Long, and Michael Rojas) placed 11th out of 110 entries from around the world and was the 2nd highest finishing US team.
